A memoir is le memorie (plural). A publishing house is una casa editrice; the publisher is l'editore, and the person who edits your text is il redattore / la redattrice.
Good to know
A draft is una bozza (le bozze are also the proofs), and a chapter is un capitolo: nel terzo = in the third (chapter).

A ghostwriter is simply un ghostwriter in Italian (also scrittore ombra).
