Lexayo (the website lexayo.com and the Lexayo apps for Android and iOS) is a free language-learning app. We built it to need as little of your data as possible.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools. Your progress, settings and review cards are stored only on your own device (in the app's local storage). If you clear the app's data or uninstall it, that progress is deleted.

Microphone

Speaking practice can use your microphone if you allow it. Your voice is recorded and played back on your device only; the optional speech hint runs on your device too. Recordings are never uploaded or stored by us. You can use the app without the microphone.

What our servers see

Lesson videos, audio and pictures are downloaded from our web host and content delivery network (DigitalOcean Spaces). Like any website, these servers receive standard technical information needed to deliver files (such as your IP address and browser type) in short-lived logs. We do not use this to identify you or build a profile. If you switch on Easy-reading font in the settings, that font (Lexend) is downloaded from Google Fonts, so Google's servers receive the same kind of technical information.

Children

Lexayo does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Exporting or deleting your data

Your data lives on your device. You can export or import it from Me → All settings, and delete it by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. There is no account to delete.
