Options: in bocca chiusa non entrò mai mosca · meglio un uovo oggi che una gallina domani · non tutto il male vien per nuocere
Show answer
a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush → meglio un uovo oggi che una gallina domani
How it works
A proverbio is a fixed saying with a lesson, quoted whole and never changed, and many keep old forms: vien per nuocere, non entrò mai mosca.
Good to know
Don't translate them word for word: English often has a different image (an egg and a hen become a bird in the hand), or none at all.
