French grammar

Sûrement, sans doute, peut-être : plus ou moins sûr

Guess what is going on right now, saying how sure you are (sûrement, sans doute, peut-être).

From the scene Il est sûrement perdu (He's surely lost)

In short

Say how sure you are: sûrement (almost certainly), sans doute (probably), peut-être (maybe). They usually go after the verb.

Your turn

Which one goes with he's probably lost?

Options: son téléphone est sûrement éteint · il dort peut-être encore ? · il est sans doute perdu

Show answer

How it works

You already guess with devoir + infinitive (il doit dormir).

Your turn

Pick the word that fits the line.

Ou il n'a plus de batterie, (blank) ?

Show answer
