Give an opinion and say whether you're in favour of something, using à mon avis, de mon point de vue and être pour que + subjunctive.

From the scene À mon avis… (In my opinion…)

In short

Your view: à mon avis, de mon point de vue. In favour of it happening: être pour que + subjunctive.

Your turn

Which one goes with from my point of view?

Show answer

from my point of view → de mon point de vue

How it works

À mon avis (in my opinion — never dans mon avis) and de mon point de vue (from my point of view) introduce what you think. Être pour que / ne pas être pour que (to be in favour / not in favour of something happening) takes the subjunctive, because it is about an outcome you want.

Your turn

Pick the word that fits the line.

Clue: a plain statement, not after pour que

Options: vaut · vaille · valoir

Show answer

Money? I don't agree: it's not worth all this noise.

Good to know
