  • give it to me (la ricetta) dammela
  • put it on (la crema) mettitela
  • put some ice on mettiti il ghiaccio

  • don't forget it non dimenticarlo

Your turn

Which one goes with give it to me (la ricetta)?

Options: mettitela · dammela · prendila

Show answer

give it to me (la ricetta) → dammela

How it works

In a tu command, the pronouns are glued to the end of the verb: prendila (take it).

Good to know

With two pronouns, mi and ti become me and te and come first: dammela, mettitela. Mettersi (to put on yourself) keeps its ti: mettiti il ghiaccio.

Good to know

In a negative tu command, use non + infinitive with the pronoun glued on: non dimenticarlo.
