Trennbare Verben im dass-Satz

Ask someone to do something, with separable verbs in the dass-clause.

From the scene Ich möchte, dass du mitkommst (I want you to come)

In short

After dass the verb goes to the end, and a separable verb joins into one word there.

Your turn

Which one goes with my mum wants you to come along?

Options: ich möchte, dass du zum Abendessen vorbeikommst · möchtest du, dass ich etwas mitbringe? · meine Mutter will, dass du mitkommst

Show answer

my mum wants you to come along → meine Mutter will, dass du mitkommst

How it works

After dass the verb goes to the end — and a separable verb like mitkommen or mitbringen joins back into ONE word there.

Good to know

Du kommst mit → ich möchte, dass du mitkommst. In a normal main clause it splits again: bringst du etwas mit?

I want you to come round for dinner ich möchte, dass du zum Abendessen vorbeikommst

Javi

Ich möchte, dass du zum Abendessen mit meinen Eltern vorbeikommst.

I want you to come to dinner with my parents.

Your turn

What fills the gap?

(blank), dass du zum Abendessen mit meinen Eltern vorbeikommst.

Ich möchte, dass du zum Abendessen mit meinen Eltern vorbeikommst.

I want you to come to dinner with my parents.
