French grammar
Il y a de la... / il n'y a pas de...
Ask what food there is and order something to eat.
From the scene Qu'est-ce qu'il y a à manger ? (What is there to eat?)
In short
Some food: il y a du / de la / des. After il n'y a pas, all become de: pas de soupe.
