How it works
For a background action interrupted by a sudden event, use was/were + -ing for the background and the simple past for the event: I was sleeping when I heard a noise.
Your turn
Pick the word that fits the line.
I was looking for my glasses when... I (blank).
Clue: past of fall = fell (felt is the past of feel)
Options: fell asleep · fall asleep · felt asleep
Show answer
I was looking for my glasses when... I fell asleep.
Estaba buscando mis gafas cuando... me dormí.
